The Schwalbe Marathon Plus has been redesigned after 10 years. The one and only “flat-less tyre" gets a dynamic tread and shows it's the best by its strong properties. The patented 5 mm thick SmartGuard layer has a clear advantage compared to all the imitation products, a clear example of this is the rolling resistance. In the latest version they extend this advantage even further. The Dev “Anti-Aging“ sidewall endures the typical overload due to an insufficient tyre pressure, it endures this much longer before cracks start to appear. Additionally, the Schwalbe Marathon Plus are also well suited for E-bikes.

Door de stevige SmartGuard-laag is deze band iets stugger te monteren dan een gewone buitenband: reken op 15 tot 20 minuten per wiel, en gebruik bandenlichters om het proces makkelijker te maken. Zorg dat de binnenband niet gekneld raakt tussen band en velg voordat je oppompt.

- Check je bandenspanning regelmatig en blijf binnen de min./max. druk voor jouw maat (zie tabel hierboven).
- Gebruik een pomp met drukmeter, zoals onze fietspompen met drukmeter, om nauwkeurig op te pompen.
- Ook met de SmartGuard-bescherming blijft een bandenplakset voor onderweg een verstandige aanvulling, voor het zeldzame geval dat je toch lek rijdt.
Waarom heet de Schwalbe Marathon Plus 'de onplatbare band'?
Dankzij de dikke SmartGuard anti-leklaag onder het loopvlak houdt deze band scherpe voorwerpen zoals glas en steentjes tegen voordat ze de binnenband kunnen raken. Dat maakt lekrijden vrijwel onmogelijk, vandaar de bijnaam.
